The firm has played a central role in shaping the local infrastructure of Greater Manchester, from restoring social housing to delivering major regeneration schemes across the North West.
Supporting the client
Xeinadin led the transition of Emanuel Whittaker to a fully employee-owned structure, designing a model that delivers long-term financial security while strengthening employee engagement through a meaningful stake in the firm’s future. The employee ownership trust is governed by an independent chair, with employee trustees actively involved in key decision-making.
Xeinadin Partner Michael Butt commented: “Supporting Emanuel Whittaker through this transition was about more than financial structuring. We helped the business stay true to its values while securing long-term stability. For many SME owners, the challenge is finding a succession route that protects both people and purpose.“
Clive Newton, Managing Director at Emanuel Whittaker, said: “This firm has always been about people and place. We’ve trained generations, supported subcontractors and suppliers and built real trust in our communities. Moving to employee ownership means those values don’t get lost.”
